Christine Girard

Chief Fellow

Career: I attended the University of Illinois-Chicago on a full athletic (gymnastics) scholarship. I completed my undergraduate degree in Bioengineering with a concentration in Cell and Tissue Engineering. I went on to graduate school at the University of Florida and earned a Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering. I attended St. George’s University Medical School and completed residency in Internal Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Weston, Florida.

I clinically enjoy: Pulmonary Hypertension, ILD, and hemodynamics

Research interests: Pulmonary Hypertension and ILD

Recognitions: Scholastic All American, Avery Brundage Scholarship Recipient, Aileen Andrew Scholarship Recipient, Tau Beta Pi inductee, 1st place award at Cleveland Clinic Florida research week (2022), Patient Appreciation Award 2020, 2022

Life: I was born in Tampa, Florida and moved to Orlando, Florida in order to train at an Olympic gymnastics training center. During my time as a gymnast, I enjoyed traveling throughout the US. I am very close to my family. My parents live in Orlando and I have a younger brother who is currently an Internal Medicine resident at UAB. In my free time, I love to run, cycle, and attend Orangetheory classes. I try to keep up with all the latest gymnastics competitions, and I actively follow fashion on Instagram.
